4/9/2005 - Petition Saint Seiya

3 days ago, Masami Kurumada's site published the information that the usual dubbing actors for the characters of the five bronze Saints and Athena* wouldn't be part of the cast of the Meikai-hen, second part. It is stil impossible to know who took the decision (Masami Kurumada, The Toei Animation or other partners), but it induce some doubts and fear regarding the quality of this new opus. And it's a very strange way to thank artists who have worked on this serie almost 20 years, and whose voices have become the personification of their caracters for thousans of fans...

A petition has been launched by Japanese fans, and I recommend to people who like Saint Seiya to sign it:

http://plum.candybox.to/cosmofire/postmail/postmail.php

Once you arrived on the page, you have to fill in the form, following this order: name, e-mail, sex (男= male, 女= female), comment (only in Japanese or in English).

Thank you very much for your cooperation.

Megara

* Tôru Furuya (Seiya), Ryô Horikawa (Shun), Hirotaka Suzuoki (Shiryû), Hideyuki Hori (Ikki), Kôichi Hashimoto (Hyôga) et Keiko Han (Athena).

2005/7/30 - Modifications of the site

While I was working on the "Chronicles" during my stay in France, I realized that the site is not so user friendly for low Internet connections.

     1. Pages are a little slow to download, and a little long to read.

     2. Tittle of this fic is... "The Chronicles". But where are the "Chronicles?".

     3. The Flash navigation bar is not easy to read, and can7t be displayed by all Internet browsers.

I re-worked on the chapters, dividing them in two in order to make them lighter and shorter, and reorganized them in "Chronicles". The correspondence between the "Chapters" and the "Chronicles" is as follows.

Chronicle 1: Rebirth

Ep 1: Rebirth (Partie 2)

Parts (1) et (2)

Ep 2: Rebirth (Partie 1)

Parts (3) et (4)

Chronicle 2: Reunion

Ep 3: Reunion

Parts (1) et (2)

Chronicle 3 : Onimura

Ep 4 : Onimura (Partie 1)

Parts (1) et (2)

Ep 5: Onimura (Partie 2)

Parts (3) et (4)

Chronicle 4: The Choice

Ep 6: The choice

Parts (1) et (2)

Chronicle 6: The Chase

Ep 7: Poursuite (Partie 1)

Parts (1) et (2)

The navigation bar is now very simple, and will be displaied by any navigator.

Have been withdrawned from the site the making-off (they don't correspond to the new chronicles) and the summary of Saint Seiya Manga (I don't have the time to write them anymore)

I hope you will enjoy this "new order".

2005/6/25 - The Chase, Part 2

Here comes the Episode 8: The chase, part 2, which might sound strange to some of the readers. It takes place mainly in the entertainment district of Tokyo, Roppongi. I tried to describe Shina, Thetis and Ambre, trapped in the very special atmosphere of that place, and I hope that you will enjoy it...

2005/6/9 - About Episode 7 and followings...

A quite heavy workload has taken me quite busy those day. So I couldn't finished on time to translate the episode 7, and it's a half episode that I publish today. Looking at the dates of the various updates, I am telling my self that cutting my long chapters in two is maybe a good solution, pushing me to translate more quickly and update this English part of the site more frequently. The French version of the fic is still 8 episodes ahead the English version, so I will try to do my best ;-)

So here we are, the link to episode 7 is here: The chase, part 1.

Hope you will like it.              Megara

2005/5/22 - Partial reopening of the gallery

The gallery reopens today, with five files put on the new format,a nd enriched with additional pictures. For the Gold saints, the gallery shows some scans from various documents related to the original manga by Masami Kurumada, but also from the OVAs or the Episode G. A way to understand how much the graphic representation of those heroes is different from an author to an other...

The updates concern: Death Mask - Camus - Ambre Liancourt - Eleny de Wessex - Balint de Szeged

Have a nice visit         Megara

2005/5/8 - What had happened to the website of the "Chronicles" ???

Fire (red and orange) had lost its best against ice (green and blue). Is there anything linked with my zodiacal sign, the cancer, which is a water sign? Maybe, but really remotely.

More seriously: I have been working for weeks on a website for my work, and it has been for me a great opportunity to learn more about web design, and to consider with more critical eyes the website of the "chronicles". And to ask me some very important questions such as: "what do you want to emphasize?", "Which message do you want to deliver to the visitors?", "What is this link doing here" or "Aren't there too many different fonts on this page?", etc.

So, here comes the third version of the site. The structure hasn't changed so much, it's the design that is different: I use only one font (Gill Sans MT, size 10) and two colors, in order to avoid to be too messy. I've hesitated quite a long time, wondering if I should or not let the two dragons at the top of the pages, giving a quite gothic touch. But after all, the fic is sometime quite gothic, so I let the two creatures keeping the top of the pages, like Cerberus keeps his gate.

The gallery will reopen at the end of May. It just gives me time to change the layout of the pages, and maybe, but it's not a promise, to add some content.

This site works fairly well on the following browsers, and under windows: Explorer 6.0, Netscape 7.2, Mozilla 1.7.7, Firefox 1.0.2 and Opera 7.5

Enjoy your visit!

Flashback on the different top pages of the site:

At the beginning in September 2004: the design is inspired from a pic I took inside the Cloisters, in Upper Manhatan, New York, in 2003. A good reflection of the gothic touch of the fic, but laking of reference to Saint Seiya.

From November 2004 to May 2005: Fire.

Just for fun, the project I abandonned last week, because I found it better for a picture site than for a site talking about Saint Seiya. Anyway, the site could have looked like this:

And the winner is : Ice and the Castle of Dracula.
