Camus, like he is in Saint Seiya...
Knight of Aquarius, and called "Magician of the water and the ice", thanks
to his capacities to control ice and water, Camus hides his passionate
nature under layers of coldness, rejecting any feeling or show of
feelings. Kiled by Hyoga during the Sanctuary battle, he's brought to life
by Hades, and is assigned the same mission as Deathmask, Aphrodite, Saga
and Shura: killing the Goddess Athena and bringing her head to the Lord
Hades. A mission that he accepts, hiding his real intentions: bringing
her clothes to his Goddess. Joining Shura and Saga, he doesn't hesitate
to use Athena Exclamation against Milo, Aiolia and Mu to hide their real
goal to the spyes of Hades.
Like his
pars, he's punished by some Gods for this "rebellion" against a God of
Olympia, and his soul stransformed into a stone statue.

Camus, in the Chronicles of Ermengardis
In the original story, Camus is a rather mysterious and
cold character, which reinforces the majesty that emanates from him.
Events of his past having contributed to forge this nature is not
developed by Kurumada. This lack enables any fanfic writer to imagine it.
In the chronicles of Ermengardis, I endeavored to
describe a Camus who is reserved , but a little less wedged and rigid that
the original one. And especially, tormented by a rather black past. As all
that was not likely to be enough to drop him out reserve, I also put it
him in rather abnormal situations, the occasion for him to face painful
memories, as well as discovering that feelings are not always easy to
control.
The second topic that I wanted to approach was his
friendship with Milo. A great number of fan fics describe the two gold
saints like the best friends, or even as lovers in the yayoi fictions. A
result of the episodes of the battle of Hyoga against Milo in the
Scorpio
temple? Undoubtedly... I also accredited the thesis of this strong
friendship, trying to explore its past and its future. |
